Frequently asked questions
Clear answers about our 7-day holistic JuiceDetox, six daily juice recipes, meditation, exercise, journaling, preparation and aftercare.
Starting a juice detox naturally brings up questions. How many juices do you drink? What happens during the seven days? Is a juice cleanse suitable for beginners? How do meditation, exercise and journaling fit into the programme? And what should you do before and after the cleanse?
JuiceDetox is a 7-day holistic juice detox programme. Every day combines six fresh juice recipes with daily meditation, 45 minutes of exercise and guided journaling. It is therefore more than a juice-only cleanse: the programme creates a structured week around nutrition, movement, mindfulness and reflection.
A juice detox is not a medical treatment and should not be understood as a way to literally flush toxins from your body. Your liver, kidneys, lungs and digestive system already perform the body’s natural detoxification processes.
Below you will find answers to the most common questions about juice cleansing, detox juice recipes, the seven-day programme, preparation and aftercare.
What is a juice detox?
A juice detox, also called a juice cleanse, is a temporary programme in which fresh fruit and vegetable juices become the central part of your daily nutrition. JuiceDetox combines this with meditation, exercise and journaling to create a broader holistic programme. Read What Is a Juice Detox? for the complete introduction.
Is a juice detox the same as a juice cleanse?
The terms are generally used interchangeably. Some people also use terms such as juice fast, detox cleanse or juice reset. At JuiceDetox, both “juice detox” and “juice cleanse” refer to our structured seven-day programme.
Does a juice detox remove toxins from your body?
Juice should not be presented as something that literally flushes toxins from your body. Your liver, kidneys, lungs and digestive system already perform natural detoxification processes. The programme is better understood as a temporary lifestyle reset.
How long is JuiceDetox?
The complete JuiceDetox programme lasts seven days. Each day follows the same four foundations: six juice recipes, meditation, 45 minutes of exercise and journaling.
What do I do every day?
Every day includes six juice recipes, a daily meditation, 45 minutes of exercise and guided journaling. The four-part structure gives every day a clear rhythm.
Why does the programme last seven days?
A full week allows you to repeat the daily routine several times rather than experiencing only a single detox day. This gives you time to observe habits and practise a different rhythm around nutrition, movement and reflection.
Is JuiceDetox only about drinking juice?
No. Juice is one part of the programme. Meditation, exercise and journaling are deliberately integrated so the week includes physical, mental and reflective practices as well as nutrition.
How do the four parts of the programme fit together?
The juices structure your nutrition, meditation creates mental space, 45 minutes of exercise keeps movement in your routine and journaling helps you reflect on what you notice. Read How Does It Work? for the complete daily structure.
How many juices do I drink per day?
The JuiceDetox programme includes six juice recipes every day, spread throughout the day.
What ingredients are used in the juice recipes?
Recipes can combine fruits, vegetables, herbs and roots. Typical ingredients may include cucumber, celery, spinach, kale, apple, lemon, carrot, beetroot, ginger, turmeric and mint.
Why are there six different juice recipes?
Different recipes create variety in flavour and plant ingredients across the day. They also create a clear daily rhythm instead of relying on one repeated juice.
Is drinking juice the same as eating whole fruit and vegetables?
No. Juicing removes much of the fibre naturally present in whole fruit and vegetables. Juice is therefore not nutritionally identical to whole produce and should not replace a balanced long-term diet.
Should I drink water during the cleanse?
Yes. Water remains part of the daily routine alongside the six juices. Follow the programme guidance and spread your drinks throughout the day.
JuiceDetox is not seven days of juice alone. It is seven days of consciously working with nutrition, movement, mindfulness and reflection.

Do I meditate every day?
Yes. Daily meditation is one of the four foundations of JuiceDetox. It creates a dedicated moment to slow down, observe your experience and bring awareness to your changing routine.
How much exercise is included?
The programme includes 45 minutes of exercise every day. Movement is included because JuiceDetox approaches wellbeing as more than nutrition alone.
Do I need to be very fit?
The purpose of the exercise component is to make movement part of the daily routine, not to turn the cleanse into an athletic competition. Individual circumstances and appropriate exercise intensity can differ.
Why is journaling part of a juice detox?
Journaling helps you reflect on habits, cravings, thoughts, emotions and intentions. It gives you a way to record what you notice while your normal routine is temporarily different.
What should I write about?
The guided journaling prompts help you explore what you are feeling, which habits become visible, what challenges you encounter and which healthier routines you want to continue afterwards.
Can I do JuiceDetox if I have never done a juice cleanse before?
The programme can be approached by beginners, but preparation is important. Read through the programme beforehand, organise your groceries and juice ingredients and choose a week in which you have enough time for the daily routine.
Should my first juice detox be as strict as possible?
No. The goal is not to make your first cleanse a test of endurance. Follow the programme rather than assuming that doing more, drinking less or extending the cleanse automatically creates a better experience.
What might I notice during my first cleanse?
Experiences vary. You may become more aware of hunger, cravings, energy, automatic snacking, caffeine habits or the times of day when you normally eat. Meditation and journaling can help you observe these patterns.
Where should I start if this is my first cleanse?
Read Juice Detox for Beginners. It explains how to prepare for your first seven-day programme and how to approach the daily routine.
What if I have health concerns?
A juice cleanse is not appropriate for every individual or every situation. If you have health concerns or questions about whether a juice detox is suitable for you, seek appropriate professional medical advice before starting.
How should I prepare for JuiceDetox?
Prepare both your nutrition and your schedule. Do your grocery shopping, organise the ingredients for your six daily juices and reserve time for meditation, exercise and journaling. In the days beforehand, gradually reducing alcohol, excessive caffeine, sugary drinks, highly processed snacks and heavy meals can make the transition less abrupt.
Should I reduce coffee before starting?
If you normally consume a lot of caffeine, gradually reducing it before day one can make the change less abrupt than stopping a well-established routine suddenly.
What should I eat after a juice detox?
After day seven, gradually return to balanced meals rather than immediately jumping into very heavy foods. Whole fruits, vegetables and other fibre-rich foods become important again because juicing removes much of the natural fibre from produce.
Can I continue meditating, exercising and journaling afterwards?
Yes. The juice cleanse itself is temporary, but meditation, regular movement and journaling are habits you can choose to carry into everyday life.
Where can I find the complete preparation and aftercare guide?
Visit Preparation & Aftercare for practical guidance before day one and after day seven.
